Welcome to the Drift Encyclopedia! Drift is a hard sci-fi worldbuilding project set at the start of the 25th century in the newly colonized Teegarden system. A hundred years ago, humanity’s tumultuous expansion to the stars ended in a decade-long war, the birth of a technoreligious android singularity, and contact with advanced alien refugees. Now, on this strange new frontier, people fight tooth and nail for the chance to rebuild.
This site is for the documentation and organization of the lore of the Drift universe. I am currently in the process of editing and refining my early drafts to eventually post here, so it is very much a WIP. Artwork, javascript simulations, and CSS improvements will be coming in future updates. I hope you enjoy reading what I have so far, and if you have any thoughts feel free to send me a message!
